Development and support was dropped after disappointing sales and player reception. Instead of refining what they'd made in the previous games, DoW III was built more like a MOBA/eSport. I wouldn't recommend Dawn of War III unless you need to collect them all. I recall spending more time in that after beating the story. In addition to the campaign and multiplayer, there's "The Last Stand" horde game mode where you control a single hero in co-op PVE play. ![]() It also has action RPG elements (character leveling, stats, loot). It's been mentioned many times already, but I'd recommend adding Dawn of War II and its expansions to your collection.Ĭompared to the first game, DoW II focuses more on squad tactics and objectives there's no RTS base building. ![]()
